FAST (Females Advancing in Security & Technology) Award
Selection of the FAST Award will be based on the following criteria. Recipients will have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in three of the five categories.
Demonstrated leadership by taking bold strides to advance within the industry, despite roadblocks and challenges.
You have continued to pursue your dreams and career goals with upmost dedication by using every opportunity to advance your career.
Your passion and zeal for learning is demonstrated through active engagement within the community, social media presence or at your work or study environment.
You have enrolled in a recognized cybersecurity program, received a certification or recently graduated from a recognized cybersecurity program across Canada or through a recognized online cybersecurity training provider.
Your contributions are evident by your advocacy and support for other women and minorities within the industry. Either through a workplace or study place initiative such as mentoring, coaching or other means you are helping others to succeed in this industry.
Meeting aspects of three of the five criteria listed above
WCS2 Student or Professional Member
Resident or citizen of Canada
Must reside in Canada
Must be 18 years of age or older
You identify as a a woman
Have enrolled in full time or part time learning program over the last 6 months.
Spending at minimum 20 hours per month advancing your career.
