The Women CyberSecurity Society (WCS2) is recruiting for an experienced Director, Industry Relations to cover the activities related to seeking, developing, and maintaining relationships with business entities. Particular emphasis is on developing non-profit/industrial research agreements, technology transfer licensing arrangements, and economic development impacts
The Industry Relations Director will work closely with companies of all types ranging from large multi-national corporations to small businesses and are not limited to strictly “industrial” companies. Major activities include marketing the non-profits capabilities, seeking and negotiating contracts/agreements, and providing outreach services.
Definition: The Industry Relations Coordinator identifies, develops and maintains external relationships, primarily with companies but also some other non-profit groups, to further the societiey's social impact and outreach missions; promotes the society's capabilities, coordinates executive board member interactions with companies, increases the number and/or value of industry research contracts, promotes economic development, and assists small businesses. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.
This role will report to the CEO.
Strong communication skills, knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and non-profits are considered assets.
